Responsibilities included DNA synthesizing, cloning and sequencing, as well as all aspects of computer support: LAN and database management, general programming, personnel training, and desktop publishing.

    Research assistant, Duke University Botany Department Molecular Biology Lab, Durham, NC. 1988-1989. Investigated the zinc finger region of the yeast regulatory protein GAL4. Techniques included site-directed mutagenesis, DNA sequencing, gel electrophoresis, and in vivo enzyme activity assays.
